RIO DE JANEIRO
Nach einem weiteren Tag auf See kamen wir in der Nacht (Sonntag auf Montag) in Rio de Janeiro an. Und da wir hier leider nur bis um 14 Uhr Zeit hatten von Bord zu gehen, sind wir früh aufgestanden und befanden uns schon um 7.30 Uhr nach einer rasanten Taxifahrt am „Pao de Acucar“, dem Zuckerhut!
Die erste Bahn fuhr jedoch erst um 8 Uhr zum Gipfel und so nutzen wir die Zeit und haben einen kleinen Spaziergang in der nahe gelegenen Bucht unternommen. Übrigens bei schönstem Sonnenschein und bereits warmen Temperaturen! Zusammen mit den Arbeitern sind wir dann mit der Gondel zunächst bis zur Mittelstation gefahren und waren noch überwältigter von dem Ausblick, der sich von ganz oben, dem eigentlichen Gipfel, bot.
Rio de Janeiro lag zu unseren Füßen und man hatte einen supertollen Blick bei blauen Himmel und Sonnenschein! Herrlich. Mit seinen Stränden, Hügeln, Bergen, „Siedlungen“ liegt Rio wirklich fantastisch am Atlantik und hat uns sehr begeistert. Auch das andere Wahrzeichen Rio´s, der „Corcovado“ mit der Christusstatue war imposant anzuschauen.
Als nach und nach die Touristenhorden den Gipfel erreicht hatten, sind wir wieder herunter gefahren und haben uns von einem Taxi zur Copacabana bringen lassen. Rio ohne einen Besuch dort geht nicht! Und die Kokosnuss war auch Pflicht! Am Strand und auch an der Promenade haben wir uns eine ganze Weile die Zeit vertrieben und man kann ja einfach nur schauen, beobachten und teils auch staunen…wer und wie und was da so alles unterwegs ist!
Die Zeit verging leider viel zu schnell und wir haben uns wieder Richtung Hafen bringen lassen, ohne nicht auch dort noch mal durch angrenzende „Av. Presidente Vargas“ zu spazieren.
Und was sollten wir am Schiff erfahren? Die Boarding Time war auf 16 Uhr verschoben worden, da sämtliche Ladevorgänge noch andauern sollten und wir letztendlich sogar erst gegen 21 Uhr aus dem Hafen ausgelaufen sind. Dafür aber im Dunkeln vorbei am beleuchteten Rio de Janeiro. Wer bekommt so etwas schon geboten?!
